Ingredients:
Acrylic Yarn, Tufting Cloth (65% Polyester, 35% Cotton), Twill Tape (Cotton), Non-Slip Fabric (Rubber, Felt), Carpet Adhesive, Denim
28 hours | 2000 yards of yarn | 4 ft. x 4 ft.
“Window to the Future” is dedicated to South Canyon Lutheran Church and to my grandfather, Gordon Paulson, who used his gift of woodworking to build many of the wooden structures seen throughout its halls.
I used the original 1996 blueprints for the large stained glass window sitting above the altar to design the piece with additional inspiration from art seen around the nave.
28 hours and nearly 2,000 yards of yarn later, “Window to the Future” measures four feet in diameter and hangs in the chancel, just below the window of the same name and only a few feet from where I was baptized 21 years ago.
